“The rain in Spain stays mainly on the plain…” except when it rains out my Friday groups at Los Verdes!!!

This month we had a smaller number of players due to the rain on Friday that wiped out 16 players, including me!

What is Turkey Shoot 9 format?

I chose 9 of the 18 holes and kept them secret. Your score on this tournament is your net on holes 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 10, 14, 15, and 17. Par on these holes is 35. Those who played these holes well will give thanks for their round and enjoy their scrip winnings. Those who did not play these well had a real turkey of a round!!!

Congratulations to Brent Hannon (pictured right) on winning the Pumpkin Pie Flight with tournament-low (tied) 32 (-3). He was one of only two players who shot under par! There was a 3-way tie for first in the Stuffing Flight. Mike Laddon, Tyson Underwood, and Robert Yasunaga all had a net 35 (even par).

Paul Bittick (pictured left) had a great month with the Dodgers winning the World Series and his winning the Gobbler Flight with a tournament-low (tied) 32! The only other players to shoot below par were in this flight: Steve Steinkamp (33), and Jim Briggs and Kurt Lanschutzer (34)!


The December Weekday Tournament is Dec. 8-12. Format is Individual Low Net. Information sheet will be sent out Dec. 1.
